What's new? Once again, Medicare is a political football at both the National and State level. Now is not a time for hasty changes.

Nationally, with federal reimbursements failing to keep pace with medical inflation, Medicare HMO's are pulling out of many service areas, or adding premium. Within Florida, insurers' requests for rate increases are being delayed or denied. Several insurers have simply stopped offering new Medicare supplement plans in Florida.
